With Selig freshly out of the chair, will Charlie Hustle be seated in the Hall? With out a doubt, Pete Rose is one of the all time greats. He was always talked about in the 1970's - seemingly at every game whether it was a Reds game or not. He held many records, some of them still standing today and some that took a long time to be broken. The way Pete hit the field, ran to first on a walk, dove into home as the ball was arriving to the catcher, interacted with his team mates, moved to player/coach position (maybe the first one in the MLB), then to coach. He had a well rounded exciting career that kept fans attending and viewing. The punishment he received all those years ago is extremely harsh an unjust when viewed in today's environment and what is being handed down for other serious infractions.
